The Ritewing Zephyr

                                               Z II is born!

The ZII is not on a pre order status anymore, they ship within a day or two.

If you are interested send me an email to  ritewing@hotmail.com

The new injection molded Z II is finally here ,after 2 1/2 years of tweaking this beast she is finally making an apearance. She has the wing area of the older Z 60 in a 54 WS  ,770 SQ inches of wing area makes her a monster little wing. She now will launch and land much easier than the past versions.
The goal was to adress the troubled low speed launch and landing issues without compromising the other end of the spectrum.
I have listened for the last few years to all the Zeph owners.
Zeph is designed as a performance workhorse for FPV UAV and AP.

Zephs have also been used for nite flying and sport flying, why not it flys great!

The Z II has a new streamlined center section to house even more gear, and as an option the new  cnc laser cut Go Pro Camera box can be easily integrared into the blunt setion with ease.

The wings are molded to fit standard size servos and up two 4s 4000 mahr,I  have seen some 5s packs fit and some brands of 5000 mahr too,  2 ,4s 3300  in paralel seem to be the norm.

The new Ritewing foam type has a little less durability than the previous epp ,but the build can be done without the super involved build process that was required with the weave over EPP.

After watching some crashes and bashes with the new foam its already showing the foam does take some good abuse and still retains nice durability charateristics.
Epp is a durable flimsy foam and needs the sparring to be done rite and the weave and lam to make it stiff.
We are having the new foam Z II  mfg a little higher density than the EPP , this makes for a nice rigid and durable foam.
This new Foam is much more stiff and smooth, this will allow you to build lighter and more rigid and with a much nicer easy finish surface.

The ZII launches easier ,so it now doesn't need survive a bunch of rough launches.
Landing speeds will be 1/2 of what they were on the EPP versions ,so not as much damages when landing hot now, plus your approahces and launches can be in much tighter areas.

With the pre cut bays you will have a much easier time building now appx 1/3 the time as before.
I built two in a 3 day period without breaking a sweat.

                                                               CG at 9''3/8 to 9'1/2
                                                                770 sq" wing area
                                                                        WS  56''

Do this with your EPP, the new foam is amazing , its super stif and rigid ,while also retaing supreme fusion and flexibility. Just to see how far it could be bent I did a few test only to be very amazed.

The Zephyr has been used by universities,  high schools and tech schools , if you are a school looking for some test platorms let me know , we can work with you.

A few other uses of the  Zephyr include search and rescue, land surveying, off road car racing videos, scenic photo, ocean sport fish tracking and locating , even cattle herding and power line inspections. A few recent Zephyrs have being utilized as test platforms including avionics and atmospheric testing equipment.

My motors and esc are very nice for a decent price , my motor comes with custom thrust bushing installed and my esc programmed correctly from me , I have not noticed any real difference from the hacker to mine ,accept mine seems to have better mounting screw holes and threads ,and my esc is a 60 amp not a 55 amp .

Here is a vid of my 1300 kv on 3s and a 10/5 prop , its no slouch, and with a 10/6 or 10/7.5 it really hauls ass.
