TL 50 Slice Slope

Here is a video featuring my new RiteWing Slim 50. It was a beautiful day with big puffy clouds. There was a variable 15-18+ mph wind from the WNW... perfect for flying fronside on Merriam Crater... backside too.

Here is a short video flying my RiteWing Slim 50 (AKA 50 Slice).
 This RiteWing was built using thinned Goop, Fiberglass tape and 10 mil New Stuff. It weighs 25.5 oz. Like most RiteWings, she is has a very symmetric wing and rolls like a dream.
Sometimes the wind is so strong that all you can do is point into the wind and hang on! Such was the day last Sunday. It was blowing 35-45 mph with stronger gusts. I could fly my heavy warbird, but my 25 oz wings were "treading water."

TL 50

The Ritewing TL 50 performance wing is designed around the same platform as the Ritewing Demon but the TL uses a slightly different airfoil. The TL 50 is more acrobatic than the Demon at the cost of some high end speed. The Ritewing TL 50 is still very fast achieving speeds from 20 to 140+ m.p.h. While designed to be a high speed aircraft the Ritewing TL 50 also flies very well at slower speeds when built "light". The landing area of the TL 50 is less than that of the Demon because of the TL's ability to slow down. It is suggested that the new build video is used for building TL 50 for the best possible performance.
